A Great Source of Islamic Lectures: www.aswatalislam.net

I have found this site very comprehensive for the lectures of Islamic scholars. I would suggest you to listen the lectures of Maulana Tariq Jamil, Taqi Usmani and Dr. Israr Ahmed, however you could found your favorite scholar. In some lectures the voice quality is not good, however there is a lot of collection of each scholar and very informative lectures on different topics.

I can’t write

Writing is an art and I thought it could be learn like we learn any other art (drawing, music, etc.) But I was wrong, its not possible to learn writing. If I want to explain something its really difficult for me to write and it takes lot of time to think how to plot and so on. In my MBA period I always use to give this writing report task to any other member of group and I use to do the outdoor stuff like interviewing someone or doing any survey etc.

But I’ll not stop blogging, whether I know or don’t know how to write. I probably start using pictures to explain my days and if I keep blogging than its possible that might one day I’ll learn the art of writing as well.

Ice Cream Shake

I always go to Mcdonalds or Chaman for Ice Cream Shakes but last Sunday I’ve got an idea to make it in home. Its really easy and yet tasty.

Take 3/4 liter ice cream (I’ve used Gourmet ice cream)
Add 1/4 liter milk
1 spoon sugar
Blend it.

Simple and tasty ice cream shake is ready, besides vanilla I’ve also tried Pistachio flavor, that was great too.

Taraweh Translation

Chance to attend the Quran translation daily night in Taraweh during the month of Ramadan. Most of our mosque offer Taraweh in traditional way, that is, it is recited in Arabic and finished in 45 mins approx. Though there are some mosques where they first translate the verses which they have to recite in coming Traweh prayer.

Translation is done before every four rakat of the next coming verses. It starts at 9:30 pm and end at nearly 2:15 am. It is quite a time and is difficult for job holders to attend, but I think one can sacrifice his time if he truly desires.

Dr. Israr Ahmed’s son translate Quran with little interpretation daily night at their mosque, it’s address is 36-K, Model Town, Lahore. Though I’ve come to know that there are more than 80 mosques in Lahore where these types of sessions are in progress and more than 100 mosques in Karachi. One third of Quran’s translation has finished but still 10 days are left and much is remaining.
