The ‘heart of Pakistan’ has a new name “Pakitan’s Kitchen”. I really amused when my friend quoted his teacher’s comment on Lahore. Yeah he was right as well, Lahore is full of restaurants and eating places. Every road has load of eating spots and where ever you go, you would definitely found any famous eating spot.

Lahori (one lives in Lahore) loves to eat, in fact our only entertainment is in eating. Whenever Lahori think of going out, he has only one thing in mind, and that is “Which restaurant we should go?” In Karachi one could think of ‘going to sea view’ or in Islamabad one could think of ‘going to Damn-e-koh’ etc. (It does not mean that Lahore doesn’t have any visiting places, I think this city has more landmarks than any other city of Pakistan). But our mind works for only one thing, yeah that’s FOOD, and I know many people around me who lives in Lahore since birth but haven’t even seen the Badshahi Mosque (for an example).

But it does not mean that we should stop eating whether we are becoming fat and lazy and…

Lahori loves eating and its our recognition also. Its a business opportunity as well, I have seen very few eating places in Lahore which flops, otherwise whatever you do related to food here, it Works. Keep enjoying in eating…

Last Saturday I recieve a phone call from one of my friend asking for blood. My blood group in B-ve and he need O-ve. I got one of my friend with blood group O-ve, I took him to the hospital but he was unable to give blood because of a Hepatitus history. Now O-ve blood in one of the rarest blood group and I was really worried that how they will arange the blood in one day. However they have arranged the blood and operation goes well.

At that point I thought to create any data base which has record of those people who want to donate blood. It would be lot easier to access database if its on internet. I’ve searched for it on google and found a website pakblood.com doing same as I wish. I was happy to see that untill I look for some more detail, unfortunately their all contacts are “Out of contact” and “Fake report”. Further when I filled up a form as a donor it didn’t register me. I contacted them but got no response, concluding that website is not active.

Now I’m thinking to start one website for this purpose, if there is any one already doing this, let me know so I could contribute my part there. By the way If any one requires my blood then I’m available.

I was puzzled last Saturday, what to buy as a birthday present. I ask my friends and they give the typical gifts idea like perfume, stuff toy. Then I remembered of the gift shop “Wishes” so I thought lets see what it would decide for me. There were really lot of options including chimes, beautiful candle stands, photo frames n stuff toys as well. I ended up with a long, beautiful ‘pair of candles’ which turn out to be delightful for receiver.

I have noticed “Wishes” have some other branches in Lahore as well. However I’ve gone to the branch located on a road opposite to KFC (M.M.Alam road branch).

I was firstly using PTCL broadband internet connection in my home. It was going smooth, some distortion in telephone line often disconnects the internet connection. Than I get to know about the PTCL broadband student package in which they give 30% discount to the students. Further I also give application to upgrade my connection from 256Kb to 512Kb. I’ve come to know that first they would disconnect my previous service and then they would give me the new connection. They disconnect my previous connection instantly, I like the speed of their service, but then I keep on waiting days n days for my new connection.

I met to the General Manager of PTCL broadband section, even after his orders I didn’t get a connection and finally I switch to other broadband service provider “Link dot net”. Their customer support is better than PTCL but it also disconnects and so do I with my blog, which result in missing quote of the day as well.

In my office I use Internet connection of a company “Brain” which is like heaven to me because whenever I want to do something online it is ON. I trust on this connection as I’ve never experience disconnection since I started to use it. How good one feels when things just simply work.
