Taraweh Translation

Chance to attend the Quran translation daily night in Taraweh during the month of Ramadan. Most of our mosque offer Taraweh in traditional way, that is, it is recited in Arabic and finished in 45 mins approx. Though there are some mosques where they first translate the verses which they have to recite in coming Traweh prayer.

Translation is done before every four rakat of the next coming verses. It starts at 9:30 pm and end at nearly 2:15 am. It is quite a time and is difficult for job holders to attend, but I think one can sacrifice his time if he truly desires.

Dr. Israr Ahmed’s son translate Quran with little interpretation daily night at their mosque, it’s address is 36-K, Model Town, Lahore. Though I’ve come to know that there are more than 80 mosques in Lahore where these types of sessions are in progress and more than 100 mosques in Karachi. One third of Quran’s translation has finished but still 10 days are left and much is remaining.

True Muslim

Pakistan which is considered a Muslim country and where more than 90% people are Muslim, it is sad to know that more than 70% of Muslims don’t know about their faith completely. Muslims have a Holy book Quran (or Koran) and sayings of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to understand and follow. But people don’t read them or if read them, than read it in Arabic and don’t understand the meaning, consequently they remain ignorant. Most of the people live their whole life like this and they die without understanding their faith completely. However they get to know some points to follow from Maulana (teacher / guide) and follow the points they like and for others points (those that they don’t like) they go for a middle way.

Even I haven’t ready my Holy book and sayings till now. But education taught us to study thoroughly for what you do. By keeping this in a view I started to read Holy Quran with detail. I’ve just started and learned wonderful information about our religion Islam. There’s a point mentioned in start that if you have to follow this faith Islam than you have to follow it completely otherwise there is no use to follow it half heartedly. Here I thought that more than 70% of Muslims are far away from the definition of a true Muslim. . .

I wish and pray for everyone to read the Holy book and try to understand their faith completely. May ALLAH show the right path to everyone.

Amen.
